Law minister denies allegation over vote on Sabah, Sarawak status

THE allegation by Rembau MP Khairy Jamaluddin that the opposition did not vote last year on an amendment to the federal constitution to make Sabah and Sarawak equal partners in Malaysia because it was “without substance”, has been labelled untrue.

In a statement last night, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Liew Vui Keong said the special cabinet committee had secured an agreement between the federal government and the state governments of Sabah and Sarawak on 17 out of 21 issues relating to the implementation of the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63).

  • Mr Khairy, non of the BN reps are qualified to actually talk about Sabah and Sarawak Autonomy bcos BN fellows never dare to bring up this issue on table to discuss during BN era. So don't play politic that can undermine your own Intelligence, we believe u still have some.
