Most palm oil clients have sustainability certs, says Maybank

THE majority of Maybank clients meet domestic and international certification standards, said the banking group, responding to a report that said it finances corporations behind forest fires.

Maybank, in a statement, said it is unaware of the basis of the claims made in A Review of Sustainable Finance Reforms in Indonesia, co-authored by the Rainforest Action Network, Tuk-Indonesia, Jikalahari, Walhi and the Netherlands-based Profundo.
