THE 15,086-vote majority that MCA’s Wee Jeck Seng pulled off in the Tg Piai by-election surpassed even his personal best record in the 2008 general election.
It led to Wee’s compatriots in the opposition Barisan Nasional and MCA to declare that Chinese voters, who abandoned the coalition in droves over the past 10 years, are finally returning.

Of course, the rest of Malaysia was also stating the obvious way before Tg Piau, that PH would lose as the coalition had failed miserably in fulfilling electoral pledges, numerous u-turns etc.
But heres the problem:- judging from post Tg Piau, PH still has not got it; what happened to the post-mortem? Some PH leaders keep harping on how much of the manifesto has been fulfilled, while the rest are still caught up with machinations and infighting.
And the most frustrating thing is this: much of Malaysias problem can be dealt with, if only the current govt actually gave two cents to focus and managing, instead of politicking.
