'Dry toilets' force flight MH1 to turn back to Heathrow Airport

MALAYSIA Airlines flight MH1 from London to Kuala Lumpur returned to Heathrow Airport about an hour after takeoff due to malfunctioning toilets, says a flight monitor on Twitter today.

Flight Alerts said the Airbus 380 left the airport at 8.36pm local time but turned back after passing over Brussels in Belgium, jettisioning fuel over the English Channel in the U-turn.

“No water in the lavatories on board the aircraft forced it to return to London,” said Flight Alerts in a tweet.

On December 22 last year, the same MH1 returned to Heathrow after experiencing technical problems four hours after departing for Kuala Lumpur.  – October 21, 2017.
