LET the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission investigate two Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) senior officers suspected of misusing funds for a zakat institution, said Gobind Singh Deo.

The communications and multimedia minister said he was informed of the matter on Saturday.

“Let them (MACC) conduct the investigation. I will discuss it with RTM,” he told reporters at the Parliament lobby today.

It was reported that the two RTM officers have been remanded for nine days, till tomorrow, to facilitate the probe into the alleged abuse of Lembaga Zakat Selangor funds.

MACC chief Latheefa Koya said the officers, two women aged 37 and 40, were detained on October 7.

Another individual has also been questioned by anti-graft officers. – Bernama, October 14, 2019.
