Malaysia among biggest Asean winners if trade war continues


ASIAN Development Bank (ADB) has forecast that Malaysia, Vietnam and Thailand will become the biggest beneficiaries among Asean nations in the event of a prolonged US-China trade war.

Its chief economist, Yasuyuki Sawada, said Malaysia, Vietnam and Thailand’s gross domestic product growth could gain as much as 0.59%, 2.31% and 0.3%, respectively, in the medium term.
