Human resources minister at MACC HQ to assist probe


Human Resources Minister Richard Riot arrived at MACC headquarters in Putrajaya at 10am today. – September 29, 2017.

HUMAN Resources Minister Richard Riot has arrived at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission headquarters in Putrajaya today to assist the probe into the alleged RM40 million corruption at the Skills Development Fund Corporation (PTPK).

It is learnt that Riot arrived at 10am is due out at noon.

Five suspects, including Riot’s political secretary, were detained by the MACC on Wednesday. 

The others include a 58-year-old “Datuk”, a 34-year-old corporate secretary, a 32-year-old assistant financial officer and a 38-year-old company director.

MACC chief Dzulkifli Ahmad said on Wednesday the political secretary was arrested under Section 17(a) of the MACC Act.

The others were detained on September 13 over allegations that they had misappropriated RM40 million of funds meant to train unemployed Malaysians since 2016.

The four were remanded for six days and have been released on MACC bail. – September 29, 2017.
