Palm oil hits new lows, dropping 19% year-on-year

CRUDE palm oil (CPO) is trading near its lowest level at RM1,985 a tonne yesterday, The Star Online reports.

Quoting a Maybank Research report, the English daily said planters continue to face earning pressures from the weak spot CPO selling prices, which dropped 19% year-on-year.
