A CONFLICT in Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s cabinet will trigger a vote of no-confidence against the prime minister, said PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang.

The Marang MP, however, declined to reveal who in the cabinet or Pakatan Harapan led by Dr Mahathir will table such a motion.

“Those who want to bring a no-confidence vote (against Dr Mahathir) is not PAS. Not us. Someone else wants to bring a vote of no-confidence. There is a conflict in the prime minister’s cabinet,” Hadi said at a dialogue session in Universiti Malaya last night.

Hadi also refused to elaborate further on who these parties are when approached later by the media.

Last month, PAS said there is a plot to table a motion of no-confidence against Dr Mahathir in the Dewan Rakyat. The Islamist party said it would back Dr Mahathir if such an act were to occur.

Hadi and other PAS senior leaders made this pledge in a meeting with Dr Mahathir ahead of the Semenyih by-election.

Critics then accused PAS of being insincere towards the prime minister as the Islamist party then went on to campaign for Barisan Nasional in the by-election against Dr Mahathir’s coalition, PH.

Senior PH leaders have also denied that there is any such plot to topple Dr Mahathir, who is the pact’s chairman.

At the dialogue session yesterday, Hadi said the public would have to wait and see whether a no-confidence vote materialises in the current parliamentary session which is slated to end on April 11.

However, PAS will support whichever candidate as prime minister as long as the person is a Muslim who governed according to Islamic principles and who cared for the nation’s future.

“The candidate for prime minister, we want someone who implements Islam. So to us it does not matter who is the prime minister and we shall see how far this vote of no-confidence goes.” – March 19, 2019.

  • Hadi can say anything he wants in Malaysia. PH Government is too meek to take any actions against opposition leaders for fear of back lash. Anyway whatever bullshits that this devil disciple and his cohorts are spilling or rumour mongering till to Manchester it only depends on the PM himself. If the PM is silly enough to believe this fraud holy man of lies, it is preordained to see PH going down to the pit and no return. High time a new much better party of young professionals guided by the sincere ex politician with integrity to guide. Malaysian should be realistic and end the story line of both Mahatir and Anwar prior to GE15. Both of them fully deserve a rest with well written chronolgies of their contribution. That shall leaves UmnoPAS without any more ammunitions in their war chest to create upheaval. UmnoPAS has never been sincere or passionate as nation contributor in their role of "constructive devil advocates" . Their purposes are mayhem and destruction for their self serving ambitions which in a wat reflects the true Satanic nature. They will always be around to dish out concoctions of lies and disbeliefs which will tantamount to racial clashes. The only way to enhance the ability to have reasoning and deductions is a new education sysytem with english as the medium of instruction like those early day where the passion are high to develope the country without seeing each other as what races. Till today PH has no gumptions to have a total abolishment of the old education system. The Malays needs real education to make them capable and competitive and it takes at least a quarter century more if there is a change to be seen in them......sigh!!!!!.only if we start the change from now. Again PH going into the Malay agenda will not slove the core issues itself but just votes garnering and we will all go round the bush again and again and again and again........ With the PH Malay Ministers now gung ho and vocal in realigning the NEP is just another fiasco of repackaging Najib's BRIM. It is already a stated fact that the total population of 65% Malay race only contributed 8 percent of the gross GDP and the minister has the audacity to acknowledge that many of them are in B40. Did any Malay Ministers of Umno PAS and PH bother to set aside the bangsa dan agama dilema and ask Why ,What , Who , When and how to restore them back to the right directions. Anything the nons start to point out will be taken as sedition and sensitive. Stop all these craps and start working as Malaysian. We are out of time . It is a long process and if the change is in place only then can the next generations free themselves from the idiots who are administrating the country now.
