PRIME Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad will make an appearance for Pakatan Harapan in Cameron Highlands on January 25, the eve of the by-election.
“Dr Mahathir will come perform his prayers at the Sultan Ahmad Shah Mosque in Sg Koyan on Friday,” said the emcee at the PH ceramah at the town square in Sg Koyan.
Dr Mahathir will be among the leaders to appear for Pakatan and Barisan Nasional on the Cameron Highlands campaign trail.
Former defence minister Hishammuddin Hussein was here today for BN and his Umno colleague and cousin, former prime minister Najib Razak will begin his three-day visit to Cameron Highlands tomorrow.
The PH ceramah today opened with a speech from Ketari assemblyman Syefura Othman, who was followed by Defence Minister Mohamad Sabu, Deputy Finance Minister Amiruddin Hamzah and the by-election candidate M. Manogaran. Finance minister Lim Guan Eng is the closing speaker.
PKR president Anwar Ibrahim, DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang and Amanah’s Dr Mujahid Yusof Rawa will speak in Sg Koyan tomorrow night.
PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang is expected to show up on the BN campaign trail, but dates have yet to be mentioned. – January 16, 2019.
