Felcra lodges MACC report after audit reveals irregularities

FELCRA Bhd has lodged a report with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission after an external audit revealed several discrepancies, said CEO Mohd Nazrul Izam Mansor.

He said the report will allow for a thorough MACC investigation into the audit, and ensure the protection of public interest and staff welfare.

“The Felcra management promises to give full cooperation throughout the investigation, and will make sure that anyone found guilty of wrongdoing is prosecuted accordingly, based on the law,” he was quoted as saying by The New Straits Times.

He said the audit was conducted on the instruction of Felcra chairman Nageeb Wahab.

It is unclear whether the audit is related to MACC’s September 18 raid on the company’s subsidiary in Setapak, in connection with the agency’s probe into a 53-year-old man for alleged power abuse and misappropriation.

Various documents on training contracts worth RM4 million were seized in the raid. – December 13, 2018.
