PORT Dickson MP Anwar Ibrahim has confidence he will be able to fulfil all his promises made during last month’s campaign for the parliamentary seat, including a pledge to improve the local economy.

Anwar, who is PKR president-elect, said he had met with Menteri Besar Aminuddin Harun and Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng to discuss making the aspirations a reality.

“I have discussed with them the plan to take the local economy, hotel and manufacturing industries, as well as education sector in Port Dickson to greater heights,” he said, at the Port Dickson Toh Clan Association’s 38th anniversary celebration in Lukut, Port Dickson, yesterday night.

Negri Sembilan assembly Deputy Speaker M. Ravi and Port Dickson Toh Clan Association chairman Associate Professor Dr Toh Kian Kok were present.

Meanwhile, Anwar said, Port Dickson was increasingly popular around the world.

“I like the fact that Port Dickson is now popular around the world. Even the president of Turkey called and congratulated me on being elected the Port Dickson Member of Parliament.

“In my recent interview with BBC and Bloomberg, the name Port Dickson was also mentioned. So the whole world knows it (Port Dickson) now. – Bernama, November 11, 2018.
