Cancel ‘Gang Bang JB Party’, cops tell event organisers

JOHOR police want the organisers of the“ Gang Bang JB Party” to cancel the event, warning that action will be taken otherwise.

State police chief Kamarul Zaman Mamat told organisers not to pursue the event and conduct immoral activities.

“We are warning the organisers to cancel the event. We will also continuously monitor illegal events and will take strict action if there are any violations of the law,” he said in a statement today.

An invitation for the event, scheduled to be held in Johor Baru on June 20, 4pm-9pm, has been making its rounds on social media.

The organisers of the event are unknown.

The event is said to be open to all races and to be “disease- and drug-free” but no photos or video recordings are allowed to be taken.

Kamarul said the event is clearly illegal.

He also said police have opened an investigation paper under section 292(e) of the penal code and will also conduct a probe under section 233 of the Multimedia Communications Act 1998.

He urged members of the public to share related information about the event’s organisers or the party itself with the police.

“People are also advised not to make any speculations that may cause anxiety or threaten public order,” he said. – May 28, 2023.
