THE Kuala Lumpur-Karak Expressway (Km55.35 to Km55.85) will be closed to traffic for 30 minutes from 11pm tonight to facilitate the construction of the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL).

Anih Bhd senior general manager Radzimah Mohd Radzi said roads in both directions of the stretch will be closed to traffic to prevent any untoward incident.

Only the left lane in both directions of the stretch will be open to traffic after 11.30pm, while all lanes along the route are expected to fully open at 5am tomorrow, she added.

“The road closure is to facilitate the movement of heavy machinery involved in the construction of an ECRL tunnel in Genting,” she said in a statement today.

“Anih Bhd advises road users to plan their journey, follow the instructions of the staff at the location and ensure their vehicles are in good condition before starting their journey.” – Bernama, June 27, 2022.
