ABOUT 300 houses in Kampung Cina and the surrounding areas in Kuala Kedah were hit by flash floods due to high tide and heavy rain at about noon today.

A Kedah Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said that the department received a call regarding the floods at 12.13pm but so far, no temporary evacuation centre has been opened.

“The department is monitoring the affected areas. All the affected people have managed to move to safe areas,” he said today.
