ROAD Transport Department (RTD) officers will disguise themselves as express bus passengers in a special operation in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

RTD senior enforcement director Lokman Jamaan said plain-clothes personnel will be stationed randomly on express buses to ensure drivers adhere to traffic regulations.

“If the drivers commit any offence, our officers will issue them summons on the spot upon reaching the destination,” he told reporters, after inspecting express buses at Terminal Bersepadu Selatan in Kuala Lumpur last night.

He said the department inspected more than 200 buses at terminals nationwide and slammed the brakes on 11, which were considered not roadworthy. – Bernama, April 30, 2022.
