SINOVAC primary dose recipients and above 60-year-olds must get a Covid-19 booster shot in the next three months if they wish to keep their fully vaccinated status.

A notice on the MySejahtera page on Facebook stated those two groups have been granted 90 more days to get their booster shots if they do not want to lose their fully jabbed status.

The extension also applies to people in the same two groups who have not received their booster doses but have contracted the Covid-19 virus.

“These groups of people are still urged to take the booster shot as soon as possible to prevent the change of their fully vaccinated status to partially vaccinated,” the notice said.

The Health Ministry had earlier warned the two groups that they would lose their fully vaccinated status on April 1 if they had not had their booster shot by March 31.

Yesterday Malaysia began transitioning to the endemic phase of the coronavirus, a move that come with the reopening of its borders and scrapping of quarantine requirements for the fully vaccinated. – April 2, 2022.
