70.6% of population inoculated against Covid-19

MALAYSIA has inoculated 70.6% of its population against Covid-19 after 134,684 vaccine doses were dispensed yesterday.

According to the special committee for ensuring access to Covid-19 vaccine supply, a total of 25.3 million people or 77.3% have now received at least one dose of the vaccine.

Meanwhile, 79.1% of adolescents have received one dose of the vaccine as of yesterday, while 33% have been fully vaccinated.

Using the Health Ministry’s CovidNow website tracker, it projects 80% of the population will be vaccinated by December 16, while 94% of the adult population has been inoculated.

The country has administered more than 48.2 million as part of the national Covid-19 immunisation programme. – October 20, 2021.
