Turkish Airlines to buy 50 planes from Airbus, Boeing

TURKISH Airlines has confirmed plans to buy at least 50 wide-body aircraft from Airbus and Boeing, as the flag carrier ramps up its ambitions ahead of a move to a new Istanbul airport.

The company said in a statement late yesterday that it has agreed to buy 25 Boeing B787-9 aircraft, known as the Dreamliner, and 25 Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
