RMAF aircraft makes belly landing at Labuan airport

A ROYAL Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) Hercules C130 transport aircraft made a successful belly landing at the Labuan airport today after experiencing a landing gear fault.

RMAF, in a statement, said the aircraft made the emergency landing at 5.15pm after circling for six hours to burn off fuel.

It said the pilot and crew members were unhurt.

The statement did not say what the aircraft was transporting, or where it had come from.

The airport has been closed following the landing.

Airport manager Ahmad Fikri Samsudi said 11 flights to and from Kota Kinabalu, Miri and Kuala Lumpur had been cancelled since 2pm. – Bernama, November 18, 2017.
