Ipoh hotel cancels PKR booking, Azmin blames political pressure

A HOTEL in Ipoh has cancelled a reservation by Perak PKR, which planned to hold a closed-door meeting there, party deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali said.

He tweeted today that the meeting had to be moved to another venue and blamed the cancellation on political pressure.

“The closed-door meeting with Perak Keadilan at Hotel Seri Malaysia Ipoh this morning had to be relocated as the hotel management was pressured to cancel our booking at the last minute.

“(Tourism and Culture Minister) Nazri Abdul Aziz has to answer,” said the Selangor menteri besar in a tweet this morning.

His tweet had received 53 retweets and 122 likes as of 3pm today.

Perak DAP Chairman Nga Kor Ming also replied to Azmin’s tweet and expressed his dissatisfaction at the news.

“This proves that BN Perak is so despicable and change is imminent now,” replied Nga.

The closed-door meeting between Azmin and other Perak leaders will be moved to the Perak PKR headquarters instead.

Azmin will spend the rest of today campaigning in Perak.

The Malaysian Insight is attempting to call the headquarters of Hotel Seri Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur for more details. – November 17, 2017.
