PARTI Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) is prepared to be investigated by the Registrar of Societies (RoS) concerning various issues, among them the use of the term “Armada”, which stands for Angkatan Bersatu Anak Muda.

Its secretary-general, Dr Shahruddin Md Salleh said in Johor Baru today that he was recently contacted by the RoS and asked to give a statement next Tuesday.

“We will cooperate with the authorities and explain matters raised by the members,” he said after chairing a PPBM state-level monthly meeting at the Johor Baru PPBM division office.

He was commenting on the RoS’s warning for using the term “Armada” as the abbreviation for its youth wing, which is not found in PPBM’s constitution.

Some members had also complained to the RoS that several Armada members had been fired and others questioned the management’s status as the party had yet to call for an annual general meeting.

Shahruddin said that PPBM would not prevent any of its members from making complaints as it was wholly within their rights. – Bernama, November 11, 2017.
